Synopsis
This incarnation of the popular BUBBLEGUM CRISIS series is the television show that aired in Japan in 1998 and 1999. It is a re-telling of the original eight part series, BUBBLEGUM CRISIS, an OAV that aired in Japan from 1986 to 1989. Running 26 episodes, this series expands on the original while staying with the same main characters as well as the original premise, that of four young women in giant robotic suits doing battle with the destructive androids and evil corporations of Megalo City (Mega Tokyo in the original series). Here, the Knight Sabers go up against a cannibalistic boomer that has run amok, pulling victims into nearby sewers and devouring them. When Sylia is chosen as the next victim, the Knights have no choice but to stop it. Later, Linna returns home to face a difficult dilemma that has a number of unexpected repercussions. Meanwhile, Priss faces a deadly military boomer all be her lonesome as Priss and the rest of the girls are out of action for a while. The Knight Sabers are starting the feel the weight of their responsibility as time is running out for the city of Tokyo. Contains four episodes.
